2010 Junior Lifeguard Program
2010 INFORMATION:
Below is the TENTATIVE information on the 2010 Junior lifeguard program. As information on dates, times, cost, etc. change they will posted here first.
Objective: Offer an alternative summer camp that promotes physical fitness, offers training in beach safety, and educates on the historical, ecological, and economic significance of Pensacola Beach.
Please review the Parent Handbook before the program starts.

3 weeks per Class Class 1 -- TBD
Mon-Fri Class 2 -- TBD
9am-3:30pm (30min Lunch) Class 3 -- TBD(Possibly Adv Course)
$200 per Class
Curriculum and Activities:
-Daily Physical Conditioning -Ocean Lifeguard Training
-Surf Activities -Beach Safety
-Tower Shadowing -Fire Rescue Training
-Emergency Medical Skills -Sabine Island Research Station
-Fort Pickens Picnic -“Lunch on the Board Walk”
Tryouts
Physical Test will be administered on the following Saturdays
at Quiet Water Beach next to Surf Burger:TBD
Physical Test:
400 yard swim 10:30 min or less
15 min Break
1 Mile Sand Run 10:30 min or less
Registration will be held at tryouts. There is no Pre-registration.
There is a separate Fee for the Equipment Package.
The equipment package includes the following: Uniform, Hat, Snorkel Set, Beanie
Junior Guards must have at least one of each item, but parents may provide their own snorkel set to offset costs.
Full Packages include 2 shirts, swim suit, cover shorts (girls), hat, snorkel/mask, beanie.
