NEW LIFEGUARD TRYOUTS WILL BE FEBRUARY 27 AT WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL. THEY WILL START AT 800 AM. ARRIVE EARLY FOR PAPERWORK.  BRING CURRENT ARC LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATE AND  VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. 
TEST: 600 YARD SWIM IN 10:00 MINUTES OR LESS, 30 MINUTE BREAK, THEN 1.5 MILE RUN ON TRACK IN 12:00 MINUTES OR LESS.
 
Welcome to The Pensacola Beach Lifeguards.  We service 8.3 miles of Gulf-side beach as well as Quiet Water Beach on the Santa Rosa Sound. 

We encourage everyone to heed the warnings of safety officials and signage.  Rip Currents are a very real, but avoidable threat.  Swimmers should stay on the sandbars and always swim near a lifeguard.
